The COTA circuit offers a number of parking lots (official and unofficial) in its vicinity. Check out our guide here. Below are some tips to make your trip to COTA easier:

Official parking lots

The top choice is to utilise the official parking lot provided by COTA. The primary advantage of this option is that it allows you to park relatively close to the circuit.

However, be aware that this parking option is quite expensive.

Additionally, traffic around COTA can be heavily congested during race weekends, potentially adding several extra hours to your journey to the track

Unofficial parking lots

While unofficial parking lots are located farther from the COTA circuit (typically a 15 to 20-minute walk from the venue), they offer several advantages.

The most significant benefit is the cost—these lots are often much cheaper than the official parking areas. Additionally, because these parking lots are not right by the circuit, they are usually more accessible, potentially saving you time in traffic.

Although these unofficial lots are often operated by private individuals, some have official websites where you can make reservations. If available, this option is highly recommended.

If you plan to pay for parking on the spot, it’s advisable to bring cash, as credit cards may not be accepted.
